Beta Release of Adobe DNG Converter 14.4

Are you about to put your hands on that shiny new Canon EOS R5 that starts shipping tomorrow? Or maybe you want to do some pixel peeping on RAW files from the newly announced Nikon Z5. Adobe just released a beta version of their DNG converter software that supports the Canon EOS R5, Canon EOS R6, and the Nikon Z5 (amongst other cameras).

Adobe Lightroom and Camera Raw were just updated June 2020, this means it will take another couple of months for Adobe to release a version that supports these three new cameras. Meanwhile, you can convert the RAW files using the DNG converter and import the photos into your Lightroom catalog (or edit them in Camera Raw)

You can also use the DNG converter to edit your photos in other software that are a little slower to release camera support updates.

Support for the following cameras has been added:

  • Canon EOS R5
  • Canon EOS R6
  • Nikon Z5
  • Panasonic LUMIX DC-G100 (DC-G110)
  • Skydio 2 (drone)
  • Sony ZV-1 (DCZV1/B)
